About Jackson Ampworks:

The Team:

BRAD JACKSON – PRESIDENT AND DESIGNER

Since starting Jackson Ampworks in January of 2003, Brad has been the face, voice and vision of Jackson Ampworks. In fact, from 2003 to 2009 he was Jackson Ampworks in its’ entirety. During this time period, if Brad didn’t do it, it didn’t get done. All the product design, development, marketing, manufacturing and shipping was handled exclusively by Brad.

In 2009, Jackson Ampworks saw explosive growth and soon it became obvious that extra man power would be required to sustain the growth of the business as well as maintain a reasonable delivery schedule. It was during this time that Brad began building a team that would be used to take Jackson Ampworks to the next level.

To this day, with the help of our other employees, Brad Jackson is still in charge of Jackson Ampworks and continues to do the same work as he has always done but with a lot more support and help from the team. All amplifiers are still designed by, manufactured and tested by Brad Jackson before they leave the shop.

In addition to running the business at Jackson Ampworks, Brad is also an Airline Transport Rated Pilot and worked for years in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a Corporate Pilot flying the Cessna Citation series of aircraft.

He and his wife Melissa are very involved in the music department at Gateway Church in Southlake, TX and can be seen there almost every weekend delivering high voltage rock and roll during the worship services!

JUAN KYLE – SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR/OPERATIONS MANAGER

Juan is a powerhouse of energy and enthusiasm and he is our dealers direct point of contact for ordering etc. Having been promoted to Sales and Marketing Director from his position of Cabinet Shop Manager, Juan is still very involved in cabinet design and wrapping cabinets in between sales calls.

RICK JACKSON – MASTER BUILDER/QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

When Rick (Dad) is not fixing something around the shop, you will find him hard at work at his personal shop building something or repairing something else. A self taught engineer, Rick can build just about anything and is an expert at repairing things most people would throw away. Needless to say he is INVALUABLE to the team and is largely responsible for keeping morale high in the shop.

MICHELLE JACKSON – PRODUCTION

Michelle (Mom) works alongside Rick (Dad) and populates and solders circuit boards for all the amps. She keeps Rick and Stephen stocked with boards to help speed up the final assembly of the amps.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Simple Is Better –
When designing an amplifier, the more simple and clean the audio path is, the more pure and true the resulting tone will be. That is why great tone has to be designed in from the beginning.

Jackson Ampworks does not simply add features until the resulting amplifier sounds impressive. Instead, they start with a clean slate and establish the design goals for an amplifier, and then only when that goal has been met do they proceed with adding additional features.

At Jackson Ampworks they feel strongly that when you first play a Jackson Ampworks amplifier, both you and your ears will agree – simple is better!

Do Not Cut Corners on Quality or Tone –
When designing and manufacturing a product, there are countless opportunities to cut costs for the sake of saving a few dollars, but that is something that Jackson Ampworks has never allowed themselves to do. By using the highest quality parts and processes, they can be certain that their amplifiers are the best amplifiers available and will provide the user with a lifetime of toneful and worry-free service.

Turret Board Construction –
In the opinion of those at Jackson Ampworks, turret board construction represents the most rugged, reliable and toneful method of creating a circuit board. Many guitar amplifiers which are 40+ years old feature turret board construction, and are still working flawlessly, a testament to the durability of the turret board type of construction.

Use the Best/Highest Quality Parts Available –
Every Jackson Ampworks amplifier is a testament to build quality in every area. From their laser cut and welded stainless steel chassis, to their Clarostat conductive plastic potentiometers, you simply cannot find an amplifier that is better or more carefully constructed.
