Description

This model uses spalted horse chestnut for the top of the body from the exotic wood custom specification that is being produced as a 15th anniversary production model of Bacchus’ popular WOODLINE model . Instead of ordinary horse chestnut, we purposely use spalted wood that has an impact, and instead of the transparent clear pickguard that is installed on the regular version, it is equipped with a see-through brown pickguard, and is finished with black and gold hardware. It has a luxurious and calm look. While pursuing the sound and possibilities of Japanese wood, it has a well-balanced finish, and while holding down the key points of a bass-like sound, it has achieved a modern concept unique to Bacchus, which is manufactured using advanced woodworking techniques.

[Neck]
Maple neck, ebony fingerboard, satin finish on the back of the neck.
The neck is not too thick, and the comfortable fit and smooth feel ensure smooth playability.
In addition, it has an avalon dot position mark that gives it a luxurious feel.
The rod adjuster is also located at the neck end, just like the regular version, and can be easily accessed by digging into the body.

[Body]
The buddy back is made of ash wood, with spalted horse chestnut (horse chestnut) on the top of the body, and a matte finish that makes the heather grain stand out.
The neck joint has a heelless cut to ensure smooth playability in high positions.
The see-through brown pickguard with the heather grains showing through is a nice accent to the look.

[Pickup]
The pickup is equipped with Bacchus’ original “JB-ALV set”.
It outputs a well-balanced natural sound from the low to high range, and directly expresses the sound of the wood, the original sound of the instrument, and the picking nuances.

[Control]
While maintaining the traditional jazz bass style that allows intuitive operation with 2 volumes and 1 tone (Pull up Turbo SW), the
turbo switch allows for a wide range of sound creation.

[Hardware/Parts]
The pegs are equipped with black GOTOH GB11W, and
the bridge is equipped with GOTOH 404SJ-4 with gold steel saddle and black base plate.
In addition to providing high stability and flexible settings, it supports string backing and top loaders,
allowing you to set up the different sounds of each to suit your preference.

[Sound Impression]
Horse chestnut has a lighter specific gravity than ash or maple, making it a soft material.
By placing horse chestnut on the top, compared to the regular ash body WOODLINE, it
has a milder high range with a fuller midrange, and a clear and tight bottom end that takes advantage of the characteristics of ash.
In addition, the instrument has a rich expressive power that shows even more depth as you play it, such as the difference in tone due to picking nuances.
